La Strada Research
I did a comparative analysis of Czech, European and international legislation regarding broker employment agencies and migrant workers’ rights for the Czech NGO La Strada. I conducted interviews with female migrant workers and representatives of NGOs to investigate the recruitment mechanism and working and living conditions of Russian speaking female migrant workers. I summarized my findings in a research report together with recommendations for preventing exploitation, forced labor and human trafficking in the Czech Republic. I also gave a presentation about my research findings at a seminar of the Austrian migra project.
